About ThorSport Racing

ThorSport Racing enters its second decade of NASCAR Craftsman Truck series competition in '06, placing the organization among a select few at the top of the Series longevity list.   Based in Sandusky, Ohio, ThorSport fielded its first entry in a Truck Series race at the Milwaukee Mile in '96, and the organization continues to grow and strengthen.

ThorSport prides itself on competitiveness, and the '05 season was no exception.   Matt Crafton returned to drive the No.88 ThorSport Racing Chevrolet, and garnered a second-consecutive top-10 finish in the championship standings.   Crafton secured his first Bud Pole Award (and third overall for ThorSport) at New Hampshire, setting a track record in the process.   He collected 10 top-10 finishes.   Crafton's first full season in the Craftsman Truck Series came in '01.   He has started nearly 100 races for ThorSport, and has 39 top-10 finishes.

ThorSport Racing expanded to a two-truck operation in '04, and Crafton is joined this season by Kerry Earnhardt. Earnhardt will drive the No.13 ThorSport Racing Chevrolet Silverado.   While Earnhardt makes his first full-time foray into the Craftsman Truck Series, he is no stranger to the rigors of competition at NASCAR's highest levels.   Earnhardt captured the Bud Pole award at Daytona in '05.   He has made 65 Busch Series starts, including a second-place finish at Kansas in '03, and has competed in 7 Nextel Cup Series races.   He made his Nextel Cup debut at Michigan in '00.
