7/17 Kerry Earnhardt drove the National Pork Board Chevrolet to a 28th place finish in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly 200 at Memphis Motorsports Park on Saturday evening. The race was Earnhardt’s first in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Memphis. Earnhardt started the race in 30th position. He fought handling issues on the No. 13 much of the evening, but managed to avoid serious trouble. Earnhardt is mired in 24th place in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings after 14 races, and is 9th in the race for Raybestos Rookie of the Year. “The No. 13 guys are giving me some fast trucks, and I feel like we’ve improved setup-wise from earlier this season,” Earnhardt said. “We qualified 3rd at Kentucky, and that shows what this team is capable of. We’ll just keep working hard, and we’re focused on trying to get this No. 13 ThorSport Chevrolet some solid top-ten finishes.” Next up for Earnhardt is the Power Stroke Diesel 200 at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis on August 4th.
